My Incompetent Cervix Pregnancy Journey

Hello! My name is Meghan. I’m 39 years old, living on the east coast of Canada. All my life I’ve wanted children, but unfortunately the journey to get there hasn’t been easy. Years of fertility treatments left me wondering if I would ever get the chance. After countless tests, a surgery, a few procedures, three failed IUI cycles, and two IVF egg retrievals, we were lucky enough to get pregnant after our first embryo transfer- but it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. I was diagnosed with a borderline short cervix (2.6cm), with mild funnelling and mild dilation at my 20 week anatomy scan. Join me as I navigate the second half of my pregnancy while dealing with an incompetent cervix.
